Ashram Rules

Phool Chatti Ashram cultivates a spiritual and quiet environment which residents are expected to maintain.

DRESS CODE

The Ashram is a sacred area. Men and women are required to cover shoulders and knees. White clothing is preferred.

NO SMOKING

Smoking is not permitted on the Ashram grounds. If you wish to smoke then please do so outside the main gate.

NO DRINKING

It is forbidden to drink or carry alcoholic drinks during your stay in the Ashram.

SILENCE

Silence ('mauna') must be maintained in the dining hall area.

Keep voices low if you must talk in other areas as we run silent retreats every week.

KITCHEN

There is no access to the main kitchen. You may use the small shared kitchen in the dining hall. A stove, fridge and filtered water are available.

FOOD

Non-vegetarian food is not allowed inside the premises of the Ashram.

Only staff members can serve the food.

It is mandatory to pray before taking food. 

Do not use your mobile phone during meal times. 

Please use the dining hall for all eating.

ROOMS

​It is your responsibility to keep your room and washroom clean and tidy.

Eating in your room is not allowed.

We do not provide room service.
